2011 : Which is Stronger Google or Bing?

Microsoft works hard continually to strengthen its search engine, Bing. Google is maybe still the king as the most popular search engine in the worldwide. But, let’s know what happened actually.

Remember in 2009 ago, when Yahoo together with Bing made a partnership to decrease Google’s domination. At that time, Google was really strong by dominating the search engine's percentage.


And after 1.5 years, what Yahoo and Bing did is starting to pay off. As quoted by hitwise.com ( data analyst ), the market share of Google decreased being 64.4%, while Yahoo 15.9% ( growing up 5% ), and Bing 14.32% ( growing up 6% ). And the balance about 5% is for other search engines such Ask and AOL.

Recently, Microsoft made a partnership with Nokia in order to unveiled Nokia Smartphones with Windows Phone 7 OS. Microsoft wanted Nokia to make Bing Search as the default search engine on every Nokia Smartphone with Windows Phone 7 OS. Not enough, Microsoft continued to make a partnership with RIM ( Research In Motion ). Once again, Microsoft wanted Blackberry smartphone to feature Bing as the default search engine, included RIM’s new product Blackberry Play Book. I don’t know what RIM will get with this partnership. By doing these partnership one day Microsoft wants to replace Google as the king of search engine.


So, It would be better to wait, and knowing which will be the king of search engine. By the way, what’s your choice? Google, Yahoo, or Bing? ^_^
